Quentin Commanda is a Nippissing First Nation born multi disciplinary artist. He started life learning his Anishnaabe and Odawa cultures through ceremonies.

Christine Toulouse recently received an honourable Trias Art Award, a partnered award by the Ottawa Art Gallery and the Ottawa Hospital for an art piece that represented art and healing. Christine specializes in the traditional realm of quillwork, a form of textile embellishment using dyed or natural-coloured quills from porcupines to weave into birch bark.

Paul Shilling is an artist, writer, and poet. He is from Chippewas of Rama First Nation, Rama, Ontario. He began painting as a way to heal from the truths of his past.

Steve Meawasige is a Serpent River First Nation Band Council Member. He is an active key member of his community and is always there to help others. He has lead and participated in many projects that better the lives of men, women, children and wildlife of his community. He keeps the knowledge of day to day life of his ancestors and passes down knowledge to youth such as living in harmony with nature, how to survive in the wild and provide shelter such as a tipi.
